What we did

We implemented the construction of Sberbank Mega DC I in the Russian Federation, Moscow, receiving the EMEA Data Center Dynamics 2012 award in the category "Innovation in the Mega-Data Center" and becoming the winner of the Green Enterprise IT award for the best energy efficiency indicator PUE 1.32

One of the largest data processing centers in Russia, with a total area of 16,500 m², which houses 12 computer rooms, with a rated electrical power 20 MW.

The designer was HP Critical Facility Services. The general contractor for the construction is Mercury Construction Management and the developer of the detailed design in conjunction with ADM Company.

The total project implementation period was 3 years.

Features

An important characteristic of the facility is an energy efficiency indicator of not more than 1.4 (PUE), this value is achieved by installing a special ventilation and cooling system with artificial intelligence elements. AI monitors the temperature in the machine room using purified air from the external environment, and the heat from the equipment is used for heating.

The effectiveness of the work is confirmed by:

LEED certification – confirms that the design and construction of a building is carried out according to the most advanced ecological and energy efficiency standards.
Tier III certification – validates the reliability and no-failure operation of data center systems.
